B-BOY World Grand Prix The third "hoyu Dance Dynamite World Grand Prix" was a fantastic success and took place at OASIS21, downtown Sakae, Nagoya on October 31st, 2009. The strongest 8 teams including invited overseas teams of "TOP9" from Russia, the mixed team of the United States of America and Canada "ILL-Abilites" and 5 local teams who won the "B-BOY Dance Battle" battled it out in order to defeat the defending champion 2008 "T.I.P CREW" from Korea.
The top 5 teams who battled it out for the World Grand Prix were REAL Ninja, Mortal Combat, SOPHIA ORANGUTANG, WILD STYLE, AFROCK ALLSTARS. Above all, SOPHIA ORANGUTANG showed great accomplishment by defeating one of the invited overseas teams and were very impressed at the high level of competition. The battles against overseas teams were filled with tension and excitement, the likes of which have never been seen before in the three years of competition. The final was against defending champion “T.I.P CREW” versus “ILL-Abilities,” an inspirational and encouraging performance to all who saw it. To decide the world’s best, the battle was just incredible! It kept spectators completely riveted by creating impressive performances one after another. A point rating system was introduced for the final this year to ensure a fair competition. As a result, “T.I.P CREW” from Korea won a first prize in “hoyu Dance Dynamite World Grand Prix 2009” and the event ended with their second successive victory. |

Kids Street Dance Contest Prior to the B-BOY Dance Battle, Kids conducted a dance performance as a group to compete in the "Kids Street Dance Contest." There were many entries from children as well. In the final game among three groups who won the trials, spectators were impressed by the kids' achievements, hard work and amazing costumes that they had prepared for the event and the venue was filled with the cheers of their families and friends. OMJ won the championship in the heated "Kids Street Dance Contest 2009" and expressed shear happiness in winning the award.
*The organizer announced that the number of visitors to the event totaled 61,500, more than last year and the event was considered a huge success. |

"hoyu Dance Dynamite World Grand Prix" was held at OASIS 21 in downtown Nagoya (Sakae), the home of street dance, in October 4th, 2008. Together with the defending champion 2007, "WANTED" from France, worldwide strongest teams "Massive Monkees" from U.S.A. and "T.I.P Crew" from Korea were invited from overseas. 8 teams including top 5 Japanese teams which had won out in the B-Boy battle competed against each other in a tournament for the ultimate world NO.1.
On the top 5 Japanese teams moved into final were "Mortal Combat," "Keep It Real," "Kansai J2," "Body Carnival," and "King Dimentional combat." "Mortal Combat" went into the semifinal and fought with the defending champion "WANTED." Even though they lost the game, they beat down "Massive Monkees" in the extended game of the third-place match and won the third prize. The showcase match, the championship was "WANTED" from France, looking for the championship for the second consecutive year, versus "T.I.P Crew" from Korea, coming from the leading country of street dance today. The world top-level performances were created one after another and spectators got very excited about them on stage. Finally, the enjoyable and exciting event which was much more than that of last year reached its climax, even passers-by stopped to watch! After the long battle of the 15-minutes final match, "T.I.P Crew" from Korea won the championship of hoyu Dance Dynamite World Grand Prix 2008. The organizer announced that the number of visitors to this event was totaled 61,200 which drew to a successful close. The whole story of the World Grand Prix 2008 was recorded on DVD and it is sold at the official store. |

B-BOY WORLD GRAND PRIX The Japan's first break dance World Championship "Dance Dynamite World Grand Prix" was held on October 6th, 2007.
Those selected 4 teams in the B-Boy battle were "Turn Phrase Crew," "Foundnation Crew 1," "8 NORTH GATE," "AVALANCHE." KIDS STREET DANCE CONTEST Prior to the World Grand Prix, kids' dance battle was held. Their dance was performed not only as break dance but as street dance.
